East-West Herbal Park City is an affiliate of East-West Herbal Apothecary, Inc. Our owner, M.C. Hallworth, PhD, is a native of Haiti. After a lengthy career in state government, she converted her focus to herbal medicine, which is ingrained in her Haitian culture and very common in her native country. Dr. Hallworth’s knowledge of plants and traditional ethnobotanicals was passed down through generations. The Haitians’ health care treatments consist of leaf-doctoring or herbalists to cure their illnesses and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Hallworth is a result of such healing. Growing up, her grandmother used different leaves and Medicinal plants for Teas known for their health benefits to cure any aches or pains she ever experienced. Today, her Mother continues with the same practice, and Dr. Hallworth wants to help pass it on to future generations.
