Burdock Root Whole

Burdock root comes from burdock, a weed that is related to sunflowers and part of the daisy family. Burdock root has been part of traditional medicine, particularly Traditional Chinese Medicine, for centuries. Health benefits and therapeutic actions include; treating diabetes, treating and preventing infection, ‘purifying’ the blood, as a diuretic, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

It is considered energetically cold and having a slippery consistency that soothes mucus membranes.
