Corydalis – Organic

Corydalis root powder has analgesic, tranquilizing and antispasmodic properties. It is a herb often used in traditional Chinese medicine for pain relief – it can be used for headaches, menstrual pain, and back pain – even back pain caused by nerve problems or muscle spasms. Corydalis has been studied for other medical conditions, including pain caused by intense cold, parasitic infections, irregular heart rhythms, chest pain, and bacterial infections (especially from Helicobacter pylori). There is currently not enough human evidence to support these or any uses of corydalis. 

Experts agree that corydalis can be used to treat chronic pain without carrying the same risk of addiction that many prescription pain medications do. Corydalis may interact with certain medications, including sedatives, hypnotics, drugs that are taken for irregular heart rhythms, some pain relievers, and anti-cancer drugs and may be unsafe for use during pregnancy.
